Amazon Fights Against Fighting Fake Reviews


Amazon on Friday said it complained to Apple about an app called Fakespot, which it claims inaccurately identified fraudulent sellers and fake reviews, leading to the title’s removal from the App Store.

Confusing, huh? Amazon got Apple to pull the Fakespot app claiming it violated App Store guidelines. Truth is, Fakespot easily spots fake reviews, which are quite common on Amazon. It’s fairly easy to see how Fakespot works if you spend some time carefully examining reviews on Amazon. Fortunately, even without the app, you can still use Fakespot’s website and I strongly encourage you to do so.
