GiftttDy is now part bloodhound. It can sniff out where your Day One journal file is whether you sync with Dropbox or iCloud. No, it’s not an NSA back door. I just figured out where the Day One config file lives.
I really want GiftttDy to be easy to set up and use, so anyone can take advantage of it without the need for geeky knowledge. Unfortunately, prior versions forced you to edit the script so GiftttDy could find the place to store entries and photos. Now, I can figure that out without you having to change the script. This not only helps first-time users (you know, virgins!) – it also helps GiftttDy-lovers. Now, whenever you download the latest version, you don’t have to go in and edit the script again. This means less hassle for me troubleshooting too. (Hey, I had to get something out of this.)
The new version is in the usual place. Since I can’t test all possible Mac configurations out there, I’m also keeping the prior version around for a while in case you have problems.
As always, please let me know if you have problems. Of course, you’re welcome to tell me you love it, too!
