Spends two hours doing wifi site surveys of the house using NetSpot. Yes, I really did. But now my wifi network is fine-tuned for top performance and doesn’t suffer from interference from the 10 other wifi networks in the neighborhood. Laugh if you want. Just remember to beg for the password when you come to visit.
I’ve known it as a buzzword for a while now, but wasn’t sure if I was using it or what it was, really. Well, then I read Thomas Hawk’s blog (especially this post) and now I have a lot of work to do! I have to spend more time playing with Flickr, digg, Webjay, and who knows what else.
I honestly thought I was in heaven when music became the big thing on computers. I’m not talking about MP3s – I mean that first Soundblaster card in my trusty old 386 16Mhz powerhouse! Then came SLIP and my friend Trumpet Winsock. Wow. A shell account – cool. I used to be ahead of a lot of people in trying this stuff out. Now I feel like a dinosaur! Ouch.
At least it’s still fun trying to keep up.
